UK to TW Distribution Agent

Finding an international distribution partner can be difficult. Handling that relationship can be expensive (e.g. in time troubleshooting, registration failure, or correcting misunderstandings over orders).

Design & Trade Solutions offers a 4 Step Handling Package for :

U.K. companies seeking sales to, and a distribution partner in, TAIWAN.

How This Works

Step 1: Finding & Signing

We find your business a suitable distribution partner as per your specifications (e.g. annual order value capacity) and bring you together towards the signing of a contract.

1st fee, billed on completion

Step 2: Regulatory

We act as the intermediary to ensure that companies and products are registered as necessary before orders and imports can proceed (if necessary).

2nd fee, billed on completion

Step 3: 1st Order

The products have been ordered, invoiced, paid, shipped, tracked, and received at their destination in the condition expected.

3rd fee, billed on completion
Step 4: Handling Service
We ENSURE smooth COMMUNICATION between supplier and distributor for orders, recalls, shipping, invoices & payments, regulatory changes, marketing and documentary requests.
Handling Service fee per month, paid annually.

* Some products may not need registration. Therefore Step 2 is skipped and the costs of it are not charged to the client.

Our Pricing Structure

Not every company exports both a high volume AND value of products. Some may export one or the other. That’s why we have organised our trade service fees to meet different needs:

Smooth Communications

NOTE: Some distributors and suppliers may prefer to handle direct communications after the first order has been completed. In that case the project is considered completed, and closed. If support is later requested the client can sign up to the annual support service related to their project Grade. If the client prefers after the first order that Design & Trade Solutions continue handling agreed aspects of the contractural relationship between the companies as a service, we are happy to provide this (billed annually).

Neutral Agent: Design & Trade Solutions will not act as a mediator between Supplier and Distributor. We do not sign agreements with distributors. This allows confident Taiwanese businesses to switch to direct relations with the client at any stage after the contract has been signed.

We ENSURE smooth COMMUNICATION between supplier and distributor for orders, recalls, shipping, invoices & payments, regulatory changes, marketing and documentary requests. We can also assist and accompany supplier visits to Taiwan or distributor visits to the UK. (billed separately).

Each contract between the supplier and a distributor is considered a separate account.

Case Study

A Swiss company sought to import medical goods into Taiwan. We found them a local distributor, negotiated and signed the contract between the companies, and supervised the two step registration process with the Taiwan Food & Drug Administration (TFDA). After 18 months, regulatory cleared and the clients made their first orders in December 2022. Two members of the supplier visited their Taiwan distributor with an opinion leader in May 2023.
